I love to pursue the shelves at the drugstore in search of fun skincare, makeup, and hair products. Drugstores are special places where you can buy nail polish, Doritos, sparkling wine, and tums! They also have a great selection of travel-size products. Worth mentioning considering we are heading into Spring and Summer vacation!
Batiste Brunette Hair Powder
Since embracing my dark hair; I have noticed quite a few grey hairs. I was a big fan of dry shampoo, but when I had lighter hair, I wasn’t worried about the white cast that comes with the powder. Enter: Batiste Dry Shampoo Dark Color. This stuff is great for covering up gym hair and grey hair. I’ve noticed that it’s helped give me a little more life between salon visits!
Essie Long-Lasting Nail Polish
I don’t get manicures that often anymore. The gel polish was really messing my nails up, but a regular manicure doesn’t last long. I kind of gave up on a gel polish alternative until I found Essie Long Wear Nail Polish. It lasts surprisingly long. I usually opt for more neutral colors, which makes chips and scuffs even less noticeable.
Burt’s Bees Renewing Lip Treatment
During the winter I have a problem with chapped lips, mostly caused by my mouthguard. Is that TMI? Sorry! This balm has been a great addition to my nighttime routine. It has a slight honey scent, and leaves my lips nice and soft. No cracking!
Weleda Skin Food Body Lotion
Nothing’s quite as nice as moisturizing your body after a nice bath or shower. The problem I find is that most moisturizers are so thick that it takes a small arm workout to rub it in completely. This is a really beautiful light moisturizer that soaks into the skin quickly, locking in moisture. It really does feel like Skin Food!
Dr. Teals Bubble Bath
Most nights I like to take a bubble bath, and most nights I’m using Dr. Teals. I love their lavender bubble bath because it is relaxing for the senses and muscles. I recently made more of an effort to get to the gym, and that has caused me to have some really sore muscles. This bath is something I look forward to all day long. The minute I get home, I kick off my heels, and start running this bath.
Pixie by Petra Eyeliner in Lilac
This was a recent acquisition, and I had to mention it! I’ve always been a fan of colored eyeliner. I love to wear either a pale blue or lavender in my lower lash line. I find that it brings out the whites of your eyes, as well as certain colors in your retina! After a couple weeks of using it, it is now a staple in my makeup routine.
